What the Xero integration does

Dash connects to Xero with a native connection and a secure sign in. Your data stays at its source and syncs across, so actuals arrive in the model without an export and paste, and nothing gets copied into a spreadsheet that drifts out of date the moment you close it.

There is no manual account mapping and no consultant or IT setup. You connect, review the first forecast, and adjust the assumptions that matter.

What you can do once Xero is connected

  • An AI assistant that builds the forecast. Build by hand or let the AI copilot build it with you from your Xero actuals, using formulas, growth rates and trend based rules. Every input and output can be reviewed and overridden.
  • Dashboards that explain the root cause. See why a number moved, not just that it did, with explanations tied back to the underlying figures.
  • An advanced KPI builder. KPIs for the business and its industry appear automatically, and you can define your own.
  • Three statement forecasting. Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow in one consistent model, opened from your real balances rather than a blank template.
  • Tracking category analysis. Break results down by the departments, regions or products you already track in Xero.
  • Scenario planning. Test a hire, a price change or a new payment term before you commit to it.
  • Short term cash flow forecasting. Watch the cash position and the things that move it.
  • Headcount, fixed assets, income tax and VAT. Model them inside the same forecast rather than in side sheets.
  • Branded client reporting. Share polished, client ready reporting packs securely.

Why forecast outside Xero

Xero is built to record what has happened. A forecast needs the balance sheet and cash to move together when an assumption changes, and it needs to explain variances in plain language. That is the job Dash does on top of your Xero data, so the ledger stays the single source of truth and the forecast never needs rekeying.

For the difference between a profit forecast and a cash forecast, see Three-way forecasting: how a profitable business still runs out of cash.

Built for practices with many Xero clients

Every client organisation opens into the same three statement structure, so a practice can build and refresh forecasts across its client base without rebuilding a model each time. The Practice plan covers up to 25 organisations with unlimited users. See pricing for every plan.

Common questions

What does connecting Xero involve?

A secure sign in to Xero from inside Dash. There are no consultants, no IT setup and no manual account mapping, and you review your first forecast straight after.

Do I need to map my Xero chart of accounts?

No. Dash connects without manual account mapping, so there is no mapping workshop before your first forecast.

Does Dash change anything in Xero?

No. Your data stays at its source in Xero and syncs across to Dash for forecasting and analysis.

Which other systems does Dash connect to?
